The much-discussed documentary of the First Lady Melania It will debut March 9 on Amazon’s Prime Video streaming service after quietly finishing its run in theaters, where it grossed $16.4 million domestically.

Melania It is one of the most expensive documents in history. Amazon MGM Studios has pumped as much as $40 million for the rights to the project, and is counting on the film to serve up presidential viewing numbers on Prime.

This film chronicles the 20 days leading up to Trump’s second inauguration as president, and is directed by Brett Ratner in his first film since he was accused of multiple incidents of sexual misconduct (he denies any wrongdoing).

The doc began its box office run with some bang during the January 30-February period. The first weekend after the world premiere at the Trump-Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C., which was attended by the president. Melania It opened in third place with a better-than-expected $7 million from 1,778 theaters, the best showing in a decade for a nonfiction title, excluding concert pictures and Disney nature titles. It beats Jason Statham’s new motion picture, shelterwhich opened to $5.5 million.

Melania had hoped to become a major player in the oversight, as Film Nation was brought in to handle the acquisition of documentary theaters but foreign grosses were never reported.
