“All I got was two or four scenes or a song.”

Speaking about that phase of her career, Mahima said that she was frequently offered short roles and small characters.“People started feeling that if they included me in one of their songs, the film would be a hit. It was very nice to be considered the lucky mascot, but all I was getting was two or four scenes or a song. I was very hesitant,” she said.

Not only have I worked with Amitabh Bachchan, but the film still has a very good shelf life. Even now, people come to me saying they love the film and its songs. Good has come out of it,” she said. While Salman Khan and Mahima appeared as a younger couple in the film, Baghban became one of the most talked about family dramas of its time.
