Legendary singer Asha Bhosle passed away in Mumbai at the age of 92. She was admitted to British Candy Hospital with a chest infection and respiratory problems on Saturday night and died on Sunday.
Her son Anand Bhosle confirmed the news.
Her funeral will be held on Monday at Shivaji Park. As soon as the news of her death arrived, many celebrities began to honor her and express their grief. Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis spoke to the media and expressed grief over her death. In a video shared by ANI, he said: “Pure bharat ke liye aur Vishwa ke sangeet premiyon ke bohot hi dukh ki bela hai. Versatile Sabse artist ke roop mein jinko jaana gaya, aisi Asha tai inka dukhad nidhan hua hai.”
