Madhavan criticizes the healthcare brand for using a clip of his interview as an endorsement of its product: “What a shame!”

Actor R Madhavan has slammed a healthcare brand for allegedly using his name and an interview clip without permission to promote its services. On Wednesday, the actor took to Instagram and revealed that he had issued a legal notice to the company over what he described as misleading use of his content.Expressing his anger, Madhavan wrote in his comment, “What a shame. How do these people and organizations think they can get away with this. You can’t take a clip of someone’s interview and make it part of your endorsement. A legal notice has been sent. Please ‼️beware‼️ of these kind of professionals and organizations.”He wrote a “Scam Alert” by sharing a screenshot of the clip and said, “This clip makes it look like I’m endorsing their product. They just took a clip from an interview without any permissions and used it as an endorsement on my end. How will the public believe that these are the people they are treating!! Shame!”

The controversial clip is said to include a clip from one of Madhavan’s previous interviews where he talks about losing weight in 21 days. The video then follows a man claiming to be a doctor, discussing the actor’s physical transformation, creating the impression that Madhavan supports the healthcare brand.Apart from Madhavan, the Instagram account also allegedly used interview clips featuring director Karan Johar and actor Ram Kapoor while referencing their transformations.

To date, the healthcare company has not publicly responded to Madhavan’s claims or the legal notice. On the work front, Madhavan was last seen in Dhurandhar’s The Revenge, which performed strongly at the box office. He also has several upcoming projects in the pipeline, including GD N (Tamil), Adhirshtasaali (Tamil), and Circle, a bilingual film being made in Hindi and Tamil. The release dates for these films have not been announced yet.Meanwhile, rumors persist about Madhavan being a part of Alpha, starring Alia Bhatt and Sharvari, though there is no official confirmation about his participation.
