Disney+ and Disney Channel may provide a new home for The last children on earth.

The two outlets have ordered a pilot for a live-action series based on the best-selling books by Max Bralier. Chad Fivash and James Stottero (The Vampire Diaries, Gotham Knights(They are writing the pilot and will serve as directors, and Kevin Tancharoen)Sun of brothers, Shield agents) is assigned to direct.

The last children on earth It is the second pilot ordered by Disney+ and Disney Channel in the past week, ramping up development on live-action projects. It follows in the wake aquamarinea drama based on the 2006 film The Mermaid (one of the film’s stars, Emma Roberts, is an executive producer and will guest star in the pilot).

Fiveash, Stoteraux and Tancharoen will executive produce The last children on earth With Hilary Zwick-Turner of Brallier and Blue Ant Studios, Jennifer Twiner-McCarron, and Matt Hornberg.
