She said: “We lived only about 10 kilometers from Jebel Ali port, which was being bombed every day. So we decided to take the opportunity, because I wanted to be with my husband and family.”

She added: “Hats off to the airlines as well. I’m pretty sure my daughter will suffer some degree of trauma after this experience.”

In the same conversation, Lara Dutta said there was a “personal reason” behind the video of her being stuck in Dubai being posted on social media. “It may seem stupid to others, but for me, I was going to make the dangerous journey back with my daughter alone,” she said.The actress added that she had no idea what was happening on the other side, as these were truly uncertain times.

She expressed that no one had ever experienced anything like this in the United Arab Emirates. She added: “The reason I wanted to put this video out is because only 1 percent thought in my head that it would probably be the last thing ever released.”
