It’s no secret that Kristen Bell loves musical songs and she took the opportunity to break into song during her monologue at the 2026 Actor Awards on Sunday.

“You know, this year, the show got a bit of a facelift. As many people in this room can understand, we removed the ‘sag,’ and now it’s just actor awards. But thinking about it got me thinking about rebranding, because at one time or another, everyone has thought about…” Bell began before singing, “A tented stage name that rolls off the tongue with melodious ease.”

She continued singing: “A stage name that brings you acclaim, doubles your luck and triples your fame / A stage name says who you are, and tells the whole world, baby, I’m a star.”

Bill went on to suggest some Interesting Stage names of some of the actors in the room. “But here’s the thing, I feel like the people in this room can do a lot with their names,” she said.

Some of her suggestions included Jacordy O’Lordy for Jacob Elordi, Teddy Dandaughter instead of Ted Danson, TeyTay instead of Teyana Taylor, Indoctrination Me instead of Noah Wyle and Jessie Plimes instead of Jesse Plemons. But for the Chase Infiniti, Bell said, “There are no notes.”

“Choose carefully the name that goes on your SAG-AFTRA card,” Bell sang as more suggestions for other actors appeared on the screen behind her. “It’s a name that millions of people would step on on Hollywood Boulevard.”

the returning host said ahead of the 2026 awards ceremony Hollywood Reporter That she trained “a lot, a lot.” Bill added: “We practice scripts, beats, walking, walking away, camera marks. I practice reading the teleprompter, and I practice pretending not to read the teleprompter even though I’m totally doing it. By the day of the show, it’s basically muscle memory.”
