Amid the ongoing family rift between former Hollywood power couple Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt, their youngest son, Knox, appears to be following in the footsteps of his five siblings, by officially dropping the word “Pitt” from his surname.According to Page Six, Knox, who turned 18 on July 12, used the name “Julie Knox” on his high school diploma after graduating from Fusion Academy in Los Angeles earlier this month. Viral videos from the graduation ceremony also referred to the child star as “Julie Knox.”
This update on the star child’s name comes just days after Knox’s sister, Zahara, filed paperwork requesting that her name be changed from Zahara Jolie-Pitt to Zahara Jolie.
The trend continued last month when older brother, Maddox, also reportedly filed court documents, seeking to remove “Pete” from his last name, citing “personal reasons.” However, according to reports, he went by the name “Maddox Jolie” professionally, long before taking the legal route.Knox’s brother Pax is also said to only use “Jolie” in his professional career, while Vivian also appeared as “Vivian Jolie” in the credits of her Broadway production.
In 2024, Shiloh caused a stir when she successfully petitioned a Los Angeles court to legally remove the word “Pete” from her surname shortly after she turned eighteen.According to Page Six, a source told the portal that Angelina “seems quite pleased with herself about the complete success of her long, intense and deliberate efforts to distance her children from their father.”The insider continued, “It’s extremely sad for the entire family that she would use the same name-changing weapon over and over again for any purpose other than hurting their father.”
“That was her goal and she succeeded.”But another source claimed, “Angelina shared years of family therapy with Brad and the children so everyone could try to heal after the events that led her to file for divorce.”The source added: “The children are now adults and make their own decisions, which deserves respect.
