Kim Kardashian has joined the cast of a Broadway production Fear 13.
The play, starring Adrien Brody and Tessa Thompson, revolves around the true story of Nick Yarris, who spends more than two decades on death row for a murder he insists he did not commit. This marks the Broadway debut of Kardashian, who has frequently visited the White House to meet with President Trump to advocate for clemency on behalf of prisoners, and whose efforts led to the life sentence of Alice Marie Johnson, who was convicted of a drug crime, being commuted.
“My commitment to criminal justice reform has always been about more than policy — it’s about people. I’ve learned that sometimes the most effective way to change minds is through a powerful story.” Fear 13 That’s the story. It’s a raw and honest look at the wrongful conviction of Nick Yarris and the systemic failings that kept him behind bars for twenty years. “I couldn’t be prouder to begin my Broadway production with a project that carries such vital weight,” Kardashian said.
The play, written by Lindsay Ferentino and directed by David Cromer, comes to Broadway after a West End tour. The Broadway cast also includes Ephraim Sykes, Michael Cavender, Eddie Cooper, Victor Cruz, Ebony Flowers, Joel Marsh Garland, Jared Wayne Gladley, Joe Joseph, Jeb Krieger and Ben Thompson.
Previews of the play began at the James Earl Jones Theater on March 19, ahead of its April 15 opening. The play’s opening night is scheduled for April 15 at the James Earl Jones Theater.
