Veteran Tamil director and actor K Bhagyaraj died on Saturday after suffering a cardiac arrest. He was 73 years old. Just days before his death, Bhagyaraj had made what would become his last public appearance at the wedding of Khushboo Sundar and Sundar C’s daughter, Avantika, in Goa.
Videos from the ceremony have now surfaced on social media, giving fans a glimpse of the late director at the star-studded celebration.One of the widely shared clips shows Bhagyaraj warmly welcoming Telugu star Chiranjeevi. The two exchanged smiles, shook hands, and spoke briefly inside the wedding venue.Following the news of Bhagyaraj’s death, Khushboo paid tribute to the director on Instagram by sharing a picture of him along with a heartfelt message.“Rest in peace sir. My funny moments with you will remain etched in my memory forever. I will miss you.”The wedding was attended by many prominent names in the Indian film industry. Chiranjeevi, Venkatesh and Nagarjuna attended the celebrations with their wives, while Jackie Shroff, Anil Kapoor and Trisha Krishnan were also among the guests.However, one of Khushboo’s posts from the wedding later sparked online criticism. She shared a candid photo with her husband, Sander C, as the pair smiled at each other while celebrating their daughter’s special day.
Some social media users questioned the timing of the post after Bhagyaraj’s death.

She defended her decision to celebrate her daughter’s wedding despite the tragic loss, and replied: “Why do you follow me then?? Just to criticize?? My daughter got married only 48 hours ago.”

Avantika, the eldest daughter of Khushboo and Sundar C, married Shravan Srinivasan in Goa on Thursday evening. The wedding turned into a grand gathering of film personalities from various industries, with celebrities including Chiranjeevi, Nagarjuna Akkineni, Anil Kapoor, Amala Akkineni and Trisha Krishnan joining the celebrations.
