Hulu drama pilot Southern bastards She found her leading man.
Kevin Bacon will star in the project, which is based on the graphic novel of the same name by Jason Aaron and Jason Latour. The pilot comes from Disney’s Onyx Collective, POV Entertainment, and Ryan Coogler’s Proximity Media in association with Season 5.
Along with Bacon, director Reynaldo Marcus Green (King Richard, we own this city) joined the pilot as director.

Dubuque, DaCosta and Olmstead are executive producers Southern bastards with green; Aaron and Latour. POV Entertainment’s Layne Eskridge; Proximity Media’s Ryan Coogler, Seif Ohanian, and Zinzi Coogler. Proximity’s Simon Harris and POV’s Kate Barry are producing partners, and Proximity’s executive creative directors Hannah Baker and D’Angelo Lewis will oversee production.
Bacon’s recent credits include horror comedies Family movie (which he also directed), which premiered at SXSW last month, is on Netflix Sirens And Prime Video The bond. He is repped by MGMT, Johnson Shapiro and POV.
Green’s directing credits also include Bob Marley: One Love, Top Boy And the upcoming Disney+ special The Punisher: One last kill. He is repped by WME, Granderson des Rochers and ID.
