Katey Sagal and Kurt Sutter have a new passion project: a new choral concert called Chorus Harmonia They are preparing for the Los Angeles stage.
The pair collaborated as creative partners on the unique project, with Sagal credited with conceptualizing and leading the concept while Sutter handles the book and theatrical presentation. Arrangement and choral direction are performed by Stephen Argila. It’s all for a good cause, too, as proceeds from ticket sales will benefit the Coalition for Humane Immigrant Rights and the Wounded Warrior Project.
Chorus HarmoniaDescribed as “promising, feel-good music in 66 minutes,” it will present 10 exclusive performances at Hudson Theaters in Hollywood. The offer starts on April 22nd and runs until May 2nd. A one-night preview is scheduled for April 21, with online tickets ranging from $30 for preview and $65 for general admission.
“Music and singing center me. It makes me feel whole in difficult times,” Sagal said in a statement. “Kurt loves to challenge the artistic boundaries of any medium. We both yearn to connect with the community. That’s why we do it. We hope it has the same beautiful effect on you.”

Music is nothing new for Sagal, who began her career as a singer-songwriter alongside her on-screen work. “My first love was music,” she said of the craft she was first drawn to as a child. In her twenties, she worked as a background singer for such bold names as Bob Dylan, Olivia Newton-John, Etta James, Tanya Tucker, and Bette Midler (with her band the Harlettes). She recorded with the Harlettes for Casablanca Records and Electra Records in the early 1980s before releasing her first solo album, Goodwith Virgin Records in 1994. Her other albums include 2004’s room And 2014 Covered. She is now a star in one piece On Netflix.
Sutter is a famous multi-hyphenate whose credits include The Shield, Sons of Anarchy, Mines MC, The Bastard Executioner and Abandonment. He is currently developing two new series, RAF times For MGM+ and Bedouinan outlaw biker drama starring and co-created by Jason Momoa Sons of Anarchy Veterinarian Chris Collins.
