Suriya’s Karuppu continues to enjoy a strong run in theatres. The fantasy action film is maintaining the momentum even in its third week. According to Sacnilk, Karuppu collected a net Rs 5.90 crore on the 17th.
The latest figure reflects a 14.6% increase over the 16th day’s profit of Rs 5.15 lakh crore.

The latest collections have improved the film’s domestic performance. Karuppu has now reached Rs 182.45 crore in total net collections in India. Its total profits in India rose to Rs 210.99 crore. Tamil Nadu remains the largest market for ‘Karuppu’
Tamil Nadu led the film’s collections once again. The state added Rs 5.35 lakh crore on day 17 and remained the largest contributor.
Andhra Pradesh and Telangana generated Rs 80 lakh. Karnataka brought in Rs 40 lakh. Kerala contributed Rs 18 lakh while other districts added Rs 5 lakh.The Tamil version continued to dominate the collections. It contributed Rs 5.20 crore with 39 percent occupancy across 2,353 shows.The Telugu version added Rs 70 lakh from 974 shows and recorded 19 per cent occupancy. The Tamil version recorded an overall occupancy of 43.53 percent.
The evening shows performed the best with an occupancy rate of 56.62 percent.
‘Karuppu’ OTT release details
Reports from Filmibeat suggest that Netflix has acquired the digital rights to the film. There is still no official confirmation regarding the broadcast date.
