Kanye West appears to have fallen asleep at his $1 million Malibu mansion court trial

Ye, formerly known as Kanye West, took the stand at the Malibu mansion trial and appeared noticeably slow and mysterious. During his testimony, he frequently stated that he could not remember important aspects of contractor Tony Saxon’s contributions, raising concerns about his concentration.

Yee, the artist formerly known as Kanye West, attracted attention in court during his testimony in the Malibu mansion trial after appearing tired and repeatedly saying he couldn’t remember key details.

The case centers on contractor Tony Saxon, who claims he is owed $1 million in wages and expenses related to work on Yee’s former beachfront property in 2021.

While Yee answered some questions directly, much of his testimony was characterized by brief answers, long pauses, and repeated claims that he did not remember the events.

Rolling Stone reported that Ye yawned repeatedly, closed his eyes for long periods, and at times appeared to catch his head falling forward as if asleep while sitting on the witness stand. The quiet performance sparked glances among people at the show, the publication added. He said Ron Zambrano, plaintiff Tony Saxon’s attorney, asked his fellow attorney: “Is he asleep?”The Court News Service also reported that Yee “at times appeared to be dozing off in the small downtown Los Angeles courtroom while Zambrano questioned him.”

When he was alert, Yi would often answer “yes,” “no,” or “I don’t remember.” However, one exchange stood out. Emily Hagen, who has been posting updates from the trial on Instagram, noted that Yee denied recalling several moments with Saxon, including trips to McDonald’s and the hardware store, as well as a phone call when Saxon ran out of gas.

But when asked: “Do you have any recollection of Mr. Saxon’s body odor?” I replied: “Yes.”

Yi’s testimony and Bianca Sensori’s court appearance

As Ye corrected the lawyer on how to address him, “It’s just you. No, mister.” He provided more detail on a few points. When asked if he wanted every drawer in the house to turn into slides, Yi said he only wanted to change one drawer. Regarding his claim that he wants to remove all the plumbing and electrical, he said the plumbing would remain, but “it would be a different system.”His testimony came after Bianca Sensori appeared on the stand the previous day. She also said that she “can’t remember” many details but that she talked more than Ye did. Sensori insisted that Saxon misrepresented his credentials, saying, “When I stopped working on the house, I said, ‘Do you have a contractor’s license?’ He said he did. Saxon disputed that account, testifying, “I told him I was just a guy with a pickup truck, not a licensed contractor.
