Inaugural Entertainment has acquired domestic rights to writer-director Michael Lewin’s film about chaos at summer camp.

Johnny Knoxville faces an uprising at summer camp as his new comedy heads to theaters.

Inaugural Entertainment has acquired North American rights to Little runaways The independent film is scheduled to hit theaters on September 18. Hollywood Reporter I’ve learned. Knoxville stars in the feature film from writer-director Michael Lewin, who has Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg as producers.

Little runaways The film revolves around a group of reckless 12-year-olds who decide to spend the rest of their lives in a sleepaway camp with a scheme that allows them to avoid reality. Standing in the way of their plot is Bob (Knoxville), a deranged 50-year-old camp counselor who decides to stop their plans.

Lewen, who previously worked as a producer on Apatow Productions films such as King of Staten Island and Train wreckhelmets Little runaways From a script he co-wrote with Jacob Kaplan. Producers include Tim Headington, Leah Bowman and Max Silva for Tango; Christopher Irion, Rob Hammersley and Sonya Novak for Public House Pictures; Rogen, Goldberg, James Weaver and Josh Fagen for Point Gray. Kaplan and Tango’s Neel Shah serve as executive producers.

Knoxville leads Donkey: the best and the lastwhich was released in theaters last month from Paramount Pictures, is billed as the final film in the raunchy comedy series. He also has a role opposite Olivia Wilde and Cooper Hoffman in Greg Araki I want your sexwhich is scheduled for release later this month after premiering at Sundance.
