We live in a simulation and our Creator has a sense of humour. This is the only possible explanation for this.
King Charles of England and Queen Camilla on Monday visited the White House as part of their 250-person tour of America. There, after afternoon tea (President Trump’s hard-boiled Diet Coke, as Jimmy Kimmel later quipped), a garden party was held in honor of our royal visitors. Trump gave a speech at the event in which he spoke glowingly about his parents, Mary McCloud and Fred Trump — his mother came from the UK (Scotland, specifically) at 19 — and went on to praise their impressive 63-year marriage.
Turning to Melania Trump, the president said: “That’s a record we won’t be able to match, honey. It’s not going to work that way.” For her part, the First Lady almost smirked.
Back to Kimmel’s monologue on Tuesday Jimmy Kimmel Live!: “Wait a minute. Did he make a joke about his death?” he joked to loud applause from the studio audience. “Oh my God, you should get fired for this.”
Kimmel continued: “Only Donald Trump would demand that I be fired because I made a joke about his age, and then the next day I would go out and make a joke about his age.”
Donald Trump will turn 80 in June; Melania Trump turned 56 on Sunday; They have been married for 21 years. Sixty-three years is definitely not in the cards.
Monday was the same day that Trump unilaterally called for Kimmel’s firing over a joke he made on television that was apparent about the happy age difference between the first couple.
Last Thursday night, 48 hours before the White House Correspondents’ Dinner was shot, Kimmel put on a fake roast for WHCD on his ABC show. The real dinner broke with tradition, casting a mentalist instead of a comedian — not that Oz Perlman had gotten very far in his work before the Secret Service foiled an attempt on the president’s life — so Kimmel took over the distortion duties.
“Look at Melania, so beautiful,” Kimmel told the audience at his fake dinner. “Mrs. Trump, you have the glow of a pregnant widow.”
The double joke also points to the perception that Melania Trump does not love her husband. Referring to the close smile mentioned above.
Two days after Jimmy Kimmel Live! Slightly, one of the people who attempted the shooting tried to reach out to Trump and his government with violence in mind. Despite the clear timeline here that denies any kind of cause and effect, MAGA Republicans called for Kimmel’s head. On Monday, Melania Trump called on ABC to “take a stand.”
“Jimmy Kimmel should be fired immediately by Disney and ABC,” Donald Trump posted on his Truth Social platform shortly after. (It wasn’t).
Hours later — Trump’s posts were in the morning, and the garden party was scheduled for 3:30 p.m. ET — Donald Trump made almost the same joke about his age, and Melania pretty much reinforced the whole lack of emotion issue with one look.
