Japanese trio Number_i has officially found an American brand.

The J-pop group, which includes members Sho Hirano, Yuta Jinguji and Yuta Kishi, has signed a contract with Atlantic Records, the company announced on Monday morning. The group recently visited the label’s offices in Los Angeles and began working on new music in the US scheduled for release later in the year, according to the statement.

“We are thrilled to announce that we have signed with Atlantic Records in the US. We are really looking forward to expanding our sound and reach,” the group said in a statement. “We will continue to work hard to get our music to as many people as possible, and we truly appreciate your continued support.”

News of Atlantic’s signing comes on the heels of Number_i signing with WME for global representation across the board. The trio, which debuted in 2024, has achieved huge popularity in Japan since forming as a trio.

In 2024, the group joined the stage lineup of management company and music label 88Rising’s Futures at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival. This was their first US performance and first major music festival under the name Number_i. Since that performance, Number_i has begun to delve more into the US market.

Last year, the three-member group played their first major U.S. festival performance at 88Rising’s Head in the Clouds Festival at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena. The performance came on the heels of their album God_ifeaturing a theme song of the same name. Kishi produced the track which debuted at number one on Billboard Japan’s Hot 100 chart.

The group achieved massive domestic success, and had several hits on the Billboard Japan Hot 100 chart. Their first full-length album, No. I It reached number one on the Billboard Japan JP Albums chart and number four on Spotify’s global debut albums chart. Their global reach has continued to grow along with the group.
