Over the course of their 27-year marriage, David and Victoria Beckham have built an impressive portfolio of luxury properties across multiple continents, with rare glimpses into their private homes through their various media appearances and social media posts.The couple has owned several homes over the years, though they have traditionally kept their properties largely private, offering only selective glimpses on social media until recently.During a four-part docu-series released in October 2023, the couple provided an extended look at their homes, filming primarily at their London home and country mansion, where David keeps beehives complete with an initialed beekeeping suit.
In recent interviews, both Victoria and David spoke about the importance their homes hold in their lives.“We always make time for each other, that’s what we always do. I want Victoria to be the best version of herself, and vice versa. And as busy as we are, our family always comes first. That’s our priority, and that’s what makes it work when you’re together for a long time,” David told Variety in a recent interview.Victoria shared similar sentiments in a 2025 interview with Elle magazine.
“We like to have a good time. We like to spend time together. We’re a very traditional family, a lot more than I think people might realize.”
David Beckham First property purchase
According to a report by Architectural Digest, David Beckham’s real estate journey began in 1996, the same year he achieved global stardom after an amazing goal that catapulted him to fame. He bought his first home, a four-bedroom red-brick semi-detached duplex in Salford, a city bordering Manchester, for the equivalent of about $187,000.
The footballer sold the property in 1999, the year he married Victoria, for approximately $232,000 after adjusting for inflation.
Oakwood House and early investments
The couple’s first purchase together came in 1998 when they acquired a nearly $400,000 penthouse apartment in a red-brick Victorian building located in the prestigious town of Alderley Edge, a village popular with footballers. They sold the apartment for approximately $733,000 in 2002, making a huge profit on their investment.
Buckingham Palace and its distinctive renovations
In 1999, the couple purchased the Grade II listed Ronnebery House, which the press quickly dubbed Buckingham Palace due to its significant renovation costs. They paid approximately $3.14 million for the property, which includes seven bedrooms, an indoor pool, a recording studio, a game room, and a gym.Victoria described her design choices for the home in an interview with The Independent, providing an insight into her creative vision.
“It’s an old house, and I designed every room. It’s really camp. There’s a room that’s like a tart boudoir, with leopard print all over it and a mirrored ceiling. Then there’s our bedroom, which is completely white and pristine, with a big four-poster bed, of old oak. I remembered the hall as being completely camp, with bright red walls, a huge, tacky chandelier, and big, thick velvet curtains.”The 24-acre grounds included tennis courts, a soccer field, gardens, a chapel, a hedge maze, and “fake ancient ruins that make up a children’s playground.”
The Beckham family sold the property in 2014, making a profit of just over $11 million.
Heawood Hall Estate and family expansion
When Victoria announced her second pregnancy in 2001, the family moved into a converted barn on the historic Heawood Hall estate in the prestigious village of Nether Alderley. The Grade II listed property is believed to have been built in 1720, has five bedrooms and cost around $1.5 million, with a further $250,000 spent on renovations.
The property featured a 35-foot indoor pool, gym and game room when it went on the market for $2.75 million in 2012.
The family moved in 2005 when the oldest was six years old.
International holdings and diversification
During the summer of 2003, David signed a contract with a professional football club in Madrid, which led the couple to create international properties. In 2005, they purchased a five-bedroom Tuscan-style estate in the La Moraleja region of Spain, featuring lush grounds, a full tennis court, a heated outdoor pool, and a soccer field.
However, David left Europe in 2007 to join US side LA Galaxy, and his Spanish residence remained vacant for eight years before being sold for $5.2 million.The couple has also invested in other international locations. They purchased a luxury villa in Dubai’s Palm Jumeirah in 2003, which they later gifted to Victoria’s parents in 2009. That same year, they acquired a six-bedroom villa in Pargemont, Côte d’Azur, for approximately $1.9 million, spending about $6.2 million on renovations before trying to sell it for $2.9 million.
The era of Beverly Hills and American expansion
Upon arriving in the United States in 2007, the Beckhams purchased a luxury estate in Beverly Hills for $18.2 million. The 11,497-square-foot Italian-style villa has six bedrooms, nine and a half bathrooms, an elevator, a library, and a shared media and music room. The couple made a huge profit when they sold it for $33 million in an off-market deal in 2018.
Townhouse in London and permanent base
The Beckham family’s current main residence is their townhouse in Holland Park, central London.
They purchased the 9,000-square-foot, Grade II-listed Victorian home in 2013 for approximately $37.9 million and spent nearly $10 million on renovations in 2016, including building separate quarters on an adjacent plot of land for their eldest son. The four-storey mansion has six bedrooms, a black-and-white kitchen with a luxurious six-burner stove, an indoor pool, a wine cellar, a gym, a fashion runway, a nail salon and an escape tunnel under the garden.
Cotswolds countryside retreat
Following the pattern of well-established English families, Victoria and David own a country house in the Cotswolds, the idyllic English countryside known for attracting British royalty and celebrities. In 2016, they spent $7.6 million converting three Grade II listed cottages into a single nine-bedroom building.The property features a man-made swimming lake, an apiary and meadows Wildflowers, large gardens, an orchard, a hot tub, a plunge pool, and a tennis court converted into a soccer field with bleachers.
A $61,000 luxury safari-style tent sits near the swimming area, complete with an outdoor kitchen and a stainless steel charcoal stove that can also be used as a dining table. Indoor facilities include multiple reception rooms, chef’s kitchen, movie theatre, spa, gym, games room and wine cellar.David’s recent Instagram posts revealed that the athlete also maintains a chicken coop and greenhouse that he personally maintains, along with robust vegetable gardens growing sweet corn, lettuce and strawberries.
Miami Residences and Recent Transactions
In 2020, David paid $19.8 million for a penthouse on the 59th floor of a 62-story winding tower in downtown Miami. The 9,200-square-foot unit features five bedrooms, six full bathrooms, glass walls with views of Biscayne Bay, and access to upscale amenities including a helipad, beach club, on-site bank vault, fitness center, spa and indoor pool. The couple sold the property in February 2026 for $24.6 million in an off-market deal, roughly $2,700 per square foot.The Beckhams doubled their investment in Miami real estate in the fall of 2024, purchasing a 14,270-square-foot modern mansion for $72.3 million on a half-acre gated lot with 124 feet of Biscayne Bay waterfront and a private dock. The two-story residence features overhanging wood fences, wraparound terraces and balconies, and a 2,500-square-foot rooftop terrace with views of downtown Miami, the Atlantic Ocean and the Gulf. The glass walls slide to unify the interiors with the outdoor spaces, where there is an infinity pool.The dramatic entrance features reflecting pools and a waterfall, while the interiors showcase South American wood, marble and bronze throughout a verdant atrium with a two-story plant wall, reflecting pool and palm trees. The kitchen has three islands and a large refrigerator. The nine-bedroom residence includes nine full and four half bathrooms, a 40-foot-wide living room, a gym with an outdoor yoga deck, a spa, a home theater, an outdoor kitchen, and a 600-bottle wine cellar.
The 1,500-square-foot master bedroom offers dual bathrooms, with a second master suite overlooking the water. The couple maintains this residence for the entire time spent in the United States.
