Ahead of her wedding to fiancé Rohan Thakkar, Anshula Kapoor’s pre-wedding celebrations are in full swing, bringing the Kapoor family together for an intimate get-together filled with love and tradition.Shanaya Kapoor recently shared a glimpse of the festivities on Instagram, where she posted a series of pictures of her actor father Sanjay Kapoor, mother Maheep Kapoor, and younger brother Jahan Kapoor. “We love you @anshulakapoor @rohanthakkar1511,” he wrote, along with heart and evil eye emojis. The photos showed the family smiling together and wearing elegant traditional clothes as they celebrated the couple’s upcoming wedding.
The pre-wedding celebrations began on a spiritual note, with Anshula and Rohan seeking blessings at Mata Ki Chowki. In videos from the ceremony, the couple was seen praying, while the celebrations later turned lively as members of the Kapoor family joined in the music, dancing and celebrations.
Anshula and Rohan’s fairytale engagement
Anshula got engaged to Rohan Thakkar in July 2025, and she announced the news with a series of romantic pictures from the engagement.
“We started talking on Tuesday at 1:15 a.m. and ended up talking for hours,” she wrote, recalling how their relationship began.Reflecting on the proposal, she added: “Three years later, in my favorite city, in front of the castle in Central Park, he proposed to me!” Anshula revealed that the proposal took place at 1.15am AEDT – the same time they first connected – which made the moment feel “like magic”.The couple first met through a dating app in 2022.

In her engagement announcement, Anshula admitted that she had never believed in fairy tales, but said this experience felt different.“It was intentional, thoughtful, and real for us. I said yes. Through ugly tears, shaky laughs, and the kind of happiness I can’t put into words,” she wrote.Anshula is the daughter of director Boney Kapoor and his ex-wife, the late Mona Shourie Kapoor.
