‘I think Akshay must have paid the bill’: Chunky Panday pranks Akshay Kumar’s restaurant during the filming of ‘Housefull’
Actor Chunky Panday revisited a memorable behind-the-scenes moment involving Akshay Kumar that left him in an unexpectedly awkward situation during the film’s shoot. The actor shared the incident during his appearance on The Kapil Sharma Show, where he spoke about a prank that happened during their collaboration.The topic came up when host Kapil Sharma asked him if he had ever been the subject of a prank in the industry. Chunky then narrated an incident that occurred during the filming of “Housefull.”
The restaurant plan turns into an unexpected situation
According to Chunky, the incident happened during the shooting of Housefull in Italy, when Akshay Kumar invited the entire film unit for a meal at a restaurant. The gathering initially looked like a friendly get-together hosted by Akshay.Everything seemed normal during dinner, as the team enjoyed food and drinks together. However, the situation suddenly changed when Akshay and others quietly left the place, leaving Chunky behind without him knowing.He shared, “Akshay took me to a restaurant in Italy, and told everyone in the unit that he was treating everyone. So we went there, drank wine, ate food, everything. I went to the bathroom because the bill was about to arrive.”
When I was in the bathroom, they all left. So when I came out of the bathroom, I thought Akshay had paid the bill.”
An embarrassing moment in the restaurant
Chunky also revealed that he only realized what had happened when the restaurant staff approached him about the bill. The situation quickly became uncomfortable for him, as he was left to take on an unexpected responsibility. He added: “The hotel manager came looking for me, and took me to the kitchen to wash the dishes.”
The actor explained that the moment became awkward because he had no idea that he was left to deal with the payment situation alone.
Support arrives after the accident
Chunky mentioned that the situation eventually calmed down when directors Sajid Khan and Sajid Nadiadwala returned to the restaurant. Their arrival helped resolve the misunderstanding and ensure the matter was settled. He added that although the incident seemed embarrassing at the time, it later became a humorous memory shared by the team while filming “Housefull.”
