Amidst all the buzz surrounding their release, Kangana recently broke her silence in an interview and spoke about her relationship with Diljit.

In a candid conversation with NDTV, Kangana put aside all the speculations about her rivalry with Diljit and made it clear that there is no ill-will between them. She said: “We are not against each other. We just had opposing opinions about a particular event. I have nothing against this man. We have never met in life.” When asked if she would be ready to meet Diljit one day, Kangana didn’t hesitate and said, “Why not?” She then pushed the interviewer further, asking her if she would go so far as to message Diljit to compliment him if she enjoyed his performance in Main Vaapas Aaunga, to which the actress burst into laughter and said, “That’s too much, isn’t it?”
How did the feud between Kangana Ranaut and Diljit Dosanjh start?
The tension between Kangana and Diljit dates back to the 2020-2021 farmer protests in India, when the two got into a heated public spat on social media. The controversy erupted after Kangana shared a tweet falsely claiming that elderly protester from Punjab, Mahender Kaur, was actually Bilkis Bano, the well-known ‘daddy’ of the anti-CAA Shaheen Bagh protests.
Diljit Dosanjh called out Kangana Ranaut on social media
Diljit wasted no time in calling out Kangana on X (formerly Twitter) after her tweet, and even shared a video interview as proof that the woman in question was indeed Mahinder Kaur, a real farmer.
The exchange soon escalated into an all-out war of words on stage, with Kangana going as far as calling Diljit ‘Karan Johar’s shamcha’. However, it seems that Kangana has now decided to leave the past behind her and move forward.
Box office opening for Main Vaapas Aaunga and Bharat Bhaagya Viddhaata
On the box office front, both Main Vaapas Aaunga and Bharat Bhaagya Viddhaata got off to a slow start on their opening day. The Diljit Dosanjh film has managed to collect a net collection of Rs 1.15 crore in India, while the Kangana film has netted a little less than Rs 1 crore on its first day. Both films were warmly received by critics and generated positive word of mouth among audiences.
