House of the Dragon has revealed the final trailer for Season 3, which highlights all-out war, dragons, and destruction in Westeros.The highly anticipated HBO series, which is set to return on June 21, has released a new trailer with the tagline “The throne knows no mercy.”The new footage picks up where the first show left off, following Emma Darcy’s Rhaenyra Targaryen and Matt Smith’s Damon Targaryen as they lay siege to Westeros with their dragons, unleashing chaos in their path. Unlike the first trailer, which gave fans a glimpse of the much-talked-about Battle of Juliet, dragon battles, and more, this trailer takes fans through a burning city that descends into violence and chaos as its armies battle across the Seven Kingdoms and the Queen claims her throne.
Season 3 will reportedly pick up immediately after the events of Season 2 and will focus heavily on the Battle of the Essophagus – one of the bloodiest conflicts in George R.R. Martin’s fictional universe. Showrunner Ryan Condal previously described the episode as “the craziest episode of television ever”.Based on Martin’s Fire & Blood, the new season is expected to bring politics, devastating betrayals, key character deaths, and full-scale warfare as the Targaryen dynasty tears itself apart in its battle for the Iron Throne.

The eight-episode season will air new episodes weekly until the season finale on August 9.
