“If I told the skinny, awkward kid I used to be that one day I would become an ambassador for a sportswear brand, I would have laughed,” Arnaud said in a statement.

He continued: “What makes this moment so special is that it reminds us that we don’t always end up where we expect, and growth can look very different from what we imagined.” “Grateful and honored to partner with Under Armor who were willing to meet me where I wanted to be.”
The new campaign celebrates the brand’s HeatGear line. It launches this week, with the brand noting that it’s historically the hottest week of the year in North America. Under Armor believes Arnaud reflects a “forever athlete” mentality and someone who continually strives to improve on and off the screen, according to a press release. “What attracted us to Francois was more than his obvious talent and appearance, it was what he represented. The character he portrays ultimately finds his greatest success when he stops trying to fit someone else’s mold and embraces who he really is,” Matt Dornick, Under Armour’s head of communications, said in a statement. “This is a lesson that resonates deeply with us.”
The CEO continued, “The best athletes perform with confidence, conviction and authenticity, and we believe the strongest brands do too. As Under Armor continues to evolve, we are focused on being unmistakably ourselves, and Francois embodies this mentality in everything he does.”
