Grizz Chapman – the actor who played Tracy Morgan’s beloved bodyguard 30 Rock He passed away on Friday at the age of 52.

Now, new information has emerged about Chapman’s horrific final days.

The news comes thanks to Chapman’s manager, René Glicker, who highlighted the severe health struggles the actor has reportedly been experiencing behind the scenes for years.

According to TMZ, Chapman was dealing with a number of serious medical issues and was, in the words of his manager, “just fighting to stay alive.”

Glicker told the outlet that the actor received a kidney transplant in July 2010, but later needed a second transplant.

Finding a match was said to have been particularly difficult due to Chapman’s exceptional size – the actor stood nearly seven feet tall.

At this point, the exact cause of Chapman’s death has not been publicly confirmed.

However, his manager is said to believe there are likely several contributing factors linked to his ill health.

News of Chapman’s death first emerged on Thursday, when his longtime representative confirmed that the actor had passed away, leaving behind a grieving wife and two children.

His cousin, Harlem Globetrotter Donte “Hammer” Harrison, later shared that Chapman spent years battling the disease and dialysis treatments and died peacefully in his sleep.
