There’s a disturbing rumor making its way across X and other social media platforms today:
Quentin Tarantino, his wife Daniela Beck, and their children reside in Israel for most of the year (Daniella was born in the country), specifically in Tel Aviv.
The city was targeted by Iranian missiles over the weekend, and Quentin was rumored to have been killed.

These reports came in the wake of photos that emerged of Tarantino at a shelter in Tel Aviv.
Fortunately, we can now report that that was just a rumour.
“Quentin is alive and well and his family is fine as well,” a source close to the situation told TMZ.
The outlet also reports that the image showing Quentin and his family in a bomb shelter was created by artificial intelligence.
We’re sure we’ll be seeing a lot more of this kind of scam in the coming years.

Celebrity death hoaxes are certainly nothing new, but the age of artificial intelligence will make it difficult to distinguish real stories from fake ones.
“Quentin Tarantino was killed by an Iranian missile in Tel Aviv,” reads one post on X (formerly Twitter), which has not yet been deleted.
“Quentin Tarantino died in Tel Aviv after rocket attack, says Likud,” the main response read, referring to an alleged statement from the Israeli right-wing political party led by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
TMZ reported that tweets about Tarantino’s alleged death received thousands of likes.

Fortunately, it now appears as if most of them have received community feedback clarifying the matter.
Tarantino has not publicly responded to reports of his death, but there appears to be no reason to believe he or his loved ones are in danger.
As the situation in the Middle East continues to escalate, President Trump has threatened Iran with greater strikes.
We don’t know if the Tarantino family is currently in Tel Aviv or Los Angeles. But wherever they are, we hope they are safe.
Not only is Quentin a family man now, he still has this 10th movie to make!
