Josh Duggar has been behind bars since 2021, and is not scheduled to be released until 2032.

Josh’s release date continues to be pushed back due to his bad behavior behind bars, and his cousin Amy Duggar claims he is currently being held in solitary confinement.

This is the good news. The bad news is that Josh is still allowed to contact the outside world.

And some newly revealed prison emails from Josh to his wife, Anna Duggar, tell us more about their marriage than we wanted to know.

“Well wow! Wow! I just got your 4 photo set,” Anna wrote in June 2022 (via Radar Online).

“The pictures are so sexy and they look so amazing. You are so sweet! Thank you for sending them! You are so precious!”

“It’s so fun to get those things – wow, you’re hot!” Josh shouted.

“Thank you for sharing with me, hearing your heart means so much! Thank you for the very sexy photos cutie! xoxo.”

The emails have been trickling in slowly, and in new messages obtained by TMZ on Friday, Josh wrote that he wanted Anna to send some pictures “with the two of you in it” (whatever that means), along with messages saying he missed “taking a shower in the shower.”

You get the idea. It appears that Anna also offered some updates on her life in her recent email, but Josh was mainly focusing on her photos.

He also pleaded with her to figure out how to continue sending photos once he arrived at his new home with “the feds,” also known as the Seagoville Federal Correctional Facility in Texas.

In other newly revealed emails, Josh criticized his parents and accused them of hypocrisy.

“You keep talking about how to forgive others and try not to be bitter, yet you keep putting me down,” Josh wrote.

“Not only is this situation, I’ve been talking about it for years. Do you think it helps me? Does it help you? Does it help the ‘soul’ of our family? Does it help me?”

“When I try to bring this up, or any criticism of Pops and Mom, they immediately point out my poor life choices and then get defensive. Really? You accuse Anna of doing this most of the time and call her ‘the bitterest person you know’ and so on.”

On Reddit, many commenters pointed out that Anna, who is now raising seven children on her own, has every right to be bitter.

These days, Josh is aggressively appealing his punishment whenever he gets the chance. But it is still unlikely that he will be released this contract.

So maybe the 2020s won’t be such a hellscape after all!
