These are strange times in American politics.

We are at war with Iran. The president’s wife is hosting press conferences about Jeffrey Epstein for a reason, and now the president’s sons are challenging each other to cage fights.

Yes, Hunter Biden revealed this week that he’s eager to take on Donald Trump Jr. and Eric Trump in real life. Celebrity death match.

Speaking on social media, Hunter said he has been in contact with influencer Andrew Callaghan – who recently interviewed Shia LaBeouf – and the two are organizing a political battle royal.

“I think he’s trying to set up a cage match, me versus Eric and Don Jr.,” Biden said of Callahan’s efforts. “I told him I would do it 100 percent, if he could make it happen.”

In an email to USA TodayCallahan said he believed Hunter Biden made the comments “in jest” but that he would be “more than happy to facilitate” a cage fight if Donald Trump Jr. and Eric Trump were “willing to engage Hunter in a tit-for-tat fight.”

How could this even work?

Will Hunter face both Trump brothers at the same time, or will this be a tag team situation?

If the latter, who will Hunter team up with?

Perhaps he should be allowed to choose from among current Democrats in Congress, but that is a risky prospect.

Chuck Schumer and Bernie Sanders probably won’t be much help in the ring.

John Fetterman is a huge player, but he may change teams mid-game.

AOC is one of Trump’s most hated Democrats, but if Hunter picks her, we’ll end up with another round of sexist, sexist rhetoric.

News of the fight (which unfortunately likely won’t happen) comes on the heels of reports that Hunter’s allegations prompted Melania Trump to host an impromptu press conference about the Epstein files.

“Epstein introduced Melania to Trump, and the connections were very broad and deep,” Hunter said in 2025. USA Today).

The First Lady called the allegation “false, insulting, defamatory and inflammatory.”

Conservative outlets such as New York Post They’re using this week’s Hunter drama as a reason to draw out less flattering stories about the former president’s son (because let’s face it, if the roles were reversed and the Trumps were issuing this challenge, mail He will be applauded.)

In their report on the cage match, mail He also claimed that Hunter is “so broke that he can’t pay his lawyers.”

“Neither we nor our client know the final amount owed,” Biden’s attorney, Barry Coburn, admitted when reached for comment.

Yes mail The bizarre cage match story has already been buried under multiple paragraphs about the pay dispute between Hunter and his attorney.

Look, we may not all agree on much in this country, but hopefully we can agree that cage matches are great and we want this match to happen.
