To be clear, this does not mean Hoda will return as full-time co-anchor of the Today show.

Craig Melvin came in to replace her when she left.

He’s not going anywhere.

In addition, Hoda launched her own lifestyle brand, Joy 101.

It’s not as if she was suddenly at a loss about what to do with her time.

Unfounded rumors and conspiracy theories only make matters worse

Public speculation about how long the search for Nancy would take made things even more painful, given the outcome most people could reasonably expect.

Additionally, NBC bosses are reportedly grappling with turbulent rumors about Savannah being replaced or unsubstantiated speculation about… Conspiracies from within Behind Nancy’s kidnapping.

Meanwhile, Hoda is said to have been a balm to the production and steady presence.
