Hot competition Stars Hudson Williams and Francois Arnault took to social media to condemn online hate comments.
The duo shared identical Instagram Stories just after 3pm PT on Monday with a statement to those who spread hate online, often pitting cast members against each other. “Don’t call yourself a fan if you share racist/homophobic/misogynistic/misogynistic/ageist/ableist/antisocial/bigoted comments of any kind,” the post read. “None of us need your hateful love.”
Both Williams, who plays Shane Hollander on the series, and Arno, who plays Scott Hunter on the series, have been subjected to a slew of hateful comments on social media. The post addressed those looking to pit actors and other cast members against each other. The statement continued: “We all respect, support and love each other and are on the same side.” “If you can’t accept this gtfoh (get the fuck out of here).”
Star Ksenia Daniela Kharlamova also took to social media on Sunday to respond to online comments. “Since it’s Women’s Day, I want to say that the women you see at industry events are there,” the post read. [because] They totally deserve to be in those rooms! Assuming that we are there because our male representatives invited us invalidates the work we have done as well. Celebrate women’s achievements!
She then posted a follow-up post condemning those who try to shift blame onto cast members. “Also, if you’re using this tweet to criticize my cast mates, you’re missing the point! They’re amazing!! I said ‘celebrate women’ I don’t hate male actors,” the second post read.
