92-year-old legendary singer Asha Bhosle was rushed to hospital on Saturday evening. Reports indicated that she was admitted to Breach Candy Hospital in Mumbai due to cardiac arrest and lung problems.

However, the singer’s granddaughter, Zanae Bhosle, took to Instagram and shared a health update. “My grandmother Asha Bhosle has been admitted to the hospital due to extreme fatigue and suffering from a chest infection. We ask you to value our privacy. The treatment is ongoing and we hope all is well and will update you positively,” she wrote.

Fans commented on Zanai’s post and wished the singer a speedy recovery.

One user said: “Prayers for the legend to recover soon!!” Another user said: “I hope Ashaji feels better soon. Healing thoughts and prayers. She is truly the last Mughal and I want her to be immortal. Many more years of health and happiness.” Just four days ago, Tabu shared photos of her along with a heartfelt message. The actress was seen lovingly hugging the singer and kissing her hand, and wrote: “Tell me about your most memorable day… Tell me.”

Tell me about the moments you’ll never forget. Tell me what moves you the most. Tell me about your most precious possessions. It was my birthday in November and there he was, through my door… this beauty… this guitar… Ashaji’s gift to me.Words cannot express the gratitude I feel.. I love and admire you more than I can say, Ashaji.. Through your songs we felt the love, the longing.. the pain and the passion.. I will hold on to this for life and one day soon I hope I can play your songs for you on this.

Asha Bhosle, born on September 8, 1933, is one of the most iconic and versatile voices in Indian music, with a career spanning more than seven decades.
