HBO Max is now offering its subscribers in a key region podcasts, and on Tuesday it revealed that it is adding podcasts in Europe, something it has done in the US since 2019.
This news comes at a time when Netflix has been rolling out podcasts, including from Spotify, and amid reports that Paramount+ is also planning to head into podcasts. The European podcast campaign launches on Tuesday with Harry Potter: The Official Podcast of the Moviehosted by film critic and broadcaster Rhianna Dillon, offers “an entertaining and informative rewatch of the eight Harry Potter films, featuring special guests, high-level cinematic discussion and deep dives into the moments that defined a generation of moviegoers,” HBO Max said.

Harry Potter: The Official Podcast of the Movie It will debut with two special episodes, followed by weekly episodes, with two episodes dedicated to each film. Fans can stream the video version exclusively on HBO Max, with the audio version also available on major podcast platforms, including Apple Podcasts and Spotify.
Starting in June, HBO Max will roll out a slate of what it describes as “franchise-led podcasts” across Europe, anchored by… game of thrones And its expanding world.
