Left-wing pundit Hassan Baker has unloaded on Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce over taxpayers shouldering security costs for their star-studded wedding in New York City this weekend.

Baker said in his famous program on his social media platforms: “A controversial opinion: I think this is a dramatic misuse of public resources.” He added: “Sorry, I’m being silly… I’m saying that. I think it’s crazy. I think it’s a bad look.”

Media reports indicate that the multi-day wedding cost about $15 million, including security costs borne by taxpayers. “It heightens the contradictions. It shows once again that no matter how beloved you are as a public figure, you’re still, if you’re a billionaire, you’re still a billionaire and you’re still going to do billionaire things,” Baker said.

The superstar singer-songwriter and her NFL star boyfriend celebrated their nuptials with about 1,000 celebrity guests at Madison Square Garden in Manhattan, which required street closures and crowd control by New York City police and others on Friday.

“It’s flexible to be like, ‘Yes, I can do this,’ and I think it’s a little corny, at best,” Baker said. The couple held what was said to be a 100-person rehearsal dinner on Thursday night at the Infosys Theater inside the park.

The wedding itself took place at 5 p.m. ET on Friday, and the reception is scheduled to last until 4 a.m. ET on Saturday morning, according to a copy of the city permit obtained by the AP and details provided by police.
