Famous fashion designer Harry Lambert met Harry Styles in 2014, and they have been working together ever since. Lambert, like Styles, isn’t afraid to push the boundaries of traditional menswear, and tends toward colorful outfits and nostalgia-fueled fashion moments. And throughout his career — from Styles Styles to Bad Bunny — Lambert’s secret has been sourcing used archival gems from eBay.
Earlier this week, he met with Lambert Hollywood Reporter To break down what he looks forward to, what he buys, and how he incorporates eBay’s Spring/Summer 2026 Watch List Trends report into his wardrobe (and his customers’ wardrobes).
For context, each season, the e-tailer launches what it calls a watchlist, a data-backed style guide that compiles the labels, elements, and aesthetics that are currently dominating the conversation (and search trends). The report compiles consumers’ buying habits to determine what’s in hot demand at resale right now — essentially, what pieces are rising, selling, and holding their value on eBay.
For Spring/Summer 2026, the ideas are organized into five overarching trends: unexpected color pairings (dubbed “color interruptions”); subtly receding glances (“a little unsteady”); transparent layers and tangible details (“weightless drama”); Statement-making pieces with a bit of camp (“drenched in turmoil”) and subtle but deliberate silhouettes (“quiet confidence”). Lambert favorite? Interruption of color and quiet confidence, as seen in a couple of stunning Issey Miyake and Prada suits [he recently] “Bought on eBay” (and then built to perfection).
On the subject of Prada, the brand is Lambert’s favorite to track down in the market. “Literally yesterday, I turned on the notifications for this Prada spring/summer 2012 studded jacket, and it came up…it’s a little out of my budget, but it’s a collector’s piece that I really want.”
As he did with the Prada jacket, Lambert is a big fan of setting up eBay notifications. This strategy has led Lambert to some major wins on eBay recently, namely a leopard-print Loewe Puzzle Bag that he considers his “dream bag.” But he’s definitely a broad guy: “One day, I was like, ‘Oh my gosh, I loved SpongeBob SquarePants T-shirts when I was a kid,’ and then I went on this search on eBay and found all these cool old T-shirts.” (“Too overwhelmed by the turmoil” of it.)

But in all seriousness, this is just one example of how Lambert is motivated by media, culture, and nostalgia, and how the style moments he creates, in turn, further propel the trend scene.
“I think it’s the kid in me, like watching Britney Spears or Avril Lavigne’s music videos and being inspired by them and the way they dress,” Lambert says. THR. Fashion always comes back, thanks in large part to music, television, and movies. More recently, this has become possible to see through the “CBK effect”, revitalized by Ryan Murphy love story. According to the report, “In March alone, global eBay users searched for Calvin Klein more than 3,800 times per hour – from screen to search, and the impact was immediate.”

As for the non-negotiables in Lambert’s closet: vintage T-shirts (hello, Spongebob), stylish bags and sunglasses, plus Prada pants (of course). For more trending pieces, a message from Lambert, and more context surrounding this season’s best styles, check out our latest eBay watchlist.
