Harry Styles may host next week’s episode of Saturday Night LiveBut this did not prevent him from making a surprise appearance during Ryan Gosling’s hosting period.

The camera panned to the Grammy Award-winning artist, prompting the audience to applaud and the actor asking: “What are you doing here, man?”
“Well, I’m hosting the show next week and it’s been a while, so I just wanted to watch it and get a sense of it,” Styles replied.
Gosling added: “Yes, this is very professional, and it’s great to have you here. I wish someone would have told me that.” “I have a new movie coming out, it’s called Harry Styles Project. No – it would be a good movie, though. …and people say it is so at meet Interstellarwhich is crazy because those are two of the best movies of all time, so they kind of say it’s like, what, double that? “I don’t know, I didn’t say that.”
“I’ve always loved making movies about space. It’s just something about it that gives me perspective,” Gosling continued, talking about the “perspective” that making movies about space gives him, before the camera pans to Styles instead of himself.
“I’m sorry, why are we on Harry’s side?” he asked, to which the “Aperture” singer replied, “I don’t know, I’m just listening.”
“Well, can you listen less coolly? I think your quietness is becoming a bit of a problem,” the Oscar nominee replied.
Later in the monologue, a group of dancers dressed like aliens joined the actor and asked if they would still perform the planned number. Gosling made sure they would perform a song from his movie Hail Mary project. “It’s very poignant and it’s the anthem of our generation. Some have said it’s called a ‘sign of the times’ and, oh my God, it was written by Harry Styles,” he said. “Now I have to sing it in front of him.”
Gosling went on to perform a tentative rendition of Styles’ “Sign of the Times,” before he began singing “I’m just Ken,” lyrics from the Oscar-nominated film. Barbie song.
Styles dropped his fourth studio album Kiss all the time. Disco, sometimes on Friday, his first release in four years. His appearance during Gosling’s monologue arrived just one week before he served as host and musical guest for the March 14 episode.
In the film “Cold Open”, Colin Jost joined as Pete Hegseth, who addresses the press amid the US conflict with Iran.
“Okay, listen up, meter, okay? Because this is really serious, okay? And as you’ve seen with our legendary five-drop, we’re treating Iran like a breathalyzer in my car and blowing it to the max,” he said. “The good news is that our operation couldn’t go better and everyone loves it.”
Hegseth later added: “What’s going on? Well, I’ll tell you what’s going on. Well, we don’t know, okay? And that’s the point. If we don’t know what we’re doing, Iran certainly doesn’t know what we’re doing.”
Ashley Padilla was also in for a cold open to portray former Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem, with Ghost Hegseth inviting her onto the stage, noting that she was “being put back under the bus.”
“I just want to make it clear that I was not fired, I was gone,” Noem said of Padilla upon her arrival. “And even though I may leave this job, I will never finish my job. As I told the plastic surgeon, the work is never complete.”
Earlier in the week, Gosling and SNL He poked fun at the many times the actor has taken on the role of host.
