‘Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai’ release date changed in box office struggle
Interestingly, the film was initially supposed to release on May 22, 2026. At that time, it was expected to face competition from Ananya Panday and Lakshya starrer ‘Chand Mera Dil’. However, the makers later revised the release calendar and postponed the rom-comedy to June 5. The rescheduling reportedly came after Yash’s film ‘Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups’ was postponed.
Which OTT platform will stream the film?
According to the official poster of ‘Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai’, the film will be streamed on ZEE5 after its theatrical release.
While the filmmakers are yet to confirm the digital premiere date, Bollywood films generally reach streaming platforms within 45 to 60 days after their theatrical release. With the trailer expected to be released soon, fans are eagerly waiting to see Varun return to his signature rom-com space once again.
Varun Dhawan update on social media regarding the new release date
Confirming the new release date, Varun Dhawan took to Instagram and wrote: “June 5, 2026 in theatres. Grateful to thenameisyash and maddockfilms for helping us reset the calendar as our film haijawani toh ishq hona hai will now be released on its original date.”
The actor further stated that the film will become the first theatrical release after the end of the IPL season.
