'GDN' Trailer: R. Madhavan portrays visionary inventor GD Naidu in an inspiring drama - Watch

The makers of upcoming film ‘GDN’ have released the official trailer of the much-awaited biographical drama. The film stars R Madhavan in the lead role and is based on the life of famous Indian inventor G.D

Naidu.

The trailer was launched at a special event in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu. The show lasts approximately three minutes and takes a look at the inventor’s inspiring journey. It shows how GD Naidu worked hard to achieve his dreams despite facing many problems.Talking about the film, it is set during the pre-independence era and tells the story of GD Naidu’s life as an inventor, entrepreneur and visionary.The trailer shows his younger days and the difficult path he followed while trying to create new inventions. It also highlights his different way of thinking and his strong determination to keep moving forward even after facing many setbacks.

The film is directed by Ramakumar Krishnakumar and with R. Madhavan, the film features Sathyaraj, Priyamani, Jayaram, Dusshara Vijayan and several other actors in important roles.In addition, Krishnakumar Ramakumar and R.

Madhavan wrote the script.Govind Vasantha has composed the music and background score. Aravind Kamalanathan is the cinematographer, while Bijith Bhalla handles the editing.The film is produced by Varghese Mullan under his banner in association with Tricolor Films, which was founded by Madhavan and his wife Sarita.

R. Madhavan’s professional front

On the work front, R Madhavan was last seen in Ranveer Singh-starrer Dhurandhar and its sequel Dhurandhar: The Revenge, directed by Aditya Dhar. The films were released in theaters on 19 March 2026 and have grossed Rs 1,813.39 crore in global collections according to Sakneelik.Earlier this year, R Madhavan received the prestigious Padma Shri award in recognition of his contribution to Indian cinema.
