Fubo records 5.9 million combined subscribers in Q2 after Disney’s Hulu merger closes

Fubo reached 5.9 million subscribers during the second quarter, down from 6.2 million customers last year, the premier sports streaming service reported Tuesday.

This latest level came against the 6.2 million customers reached in the latest Q1 results. The overall subscriber base now represents customers of live TV services, including Fubo and Hulu + Live TV, after closing a merger deal with Disney.

Fubo said it had 5.7 million subscribers in North America after the fourth quarter, compared to 5.9 million in the second quarter of 2025. With its latest financial results revealed partly on a preliminary basis after the closing of the Disney-Hulu merger, Fubo saw total revenue rise to a record $1.57 billion, versus $1.12 billion a year earlier.

During the latest quarter, Fubo narrowed its net loss to $6.2 million, compared to $41 million a year earlier, while adjusted earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization (EBITDA) It reached $37.7 million, compared to $1.4 million in the previous year on a preliminary basis.

Following the completion of the Disney deal, Fubo said it has entered into an agreement with ESPN on resale and marketing arrangements to expand the reach of its streaming platform, subject to final agreements.

On Wednesday, Fubo said it expects its Fubo Sports product to be integrated into ESPN’s pipeline in the first half of 2027. “We believe these initiatives position our product in front of a large, highly engaged audience of sports fans, and we expect they will lead to sustainable subscriber, revenue and margin growth alongside other synergistic initiatives currently underway,” the company said in a shareholder letter accompanying its latest financial results.
