David Schwimmer reiterated his disapproval of Kanye West’s behaviour, and praised the companies that chose to withdraw their sponsorship from the London Wireless Festival. He asserts that West’s apologies for his anti-Semitic statements are insincere, arguing that there is no real accountability on his part.
David Schwimmer once again criticized Kanye West’s controversial behavior. The ‘Friends’ star took to social media, praising companies that have withdrawn sponsorship at the London Wireless Festival, where Kanye West is headlining.
He feels strongly that Kanye should not be given a platform to perform.This isn’t the first time Schwimmer has criticized Kanye West. The actor previously asked Elon Musk to stop giving him a “megaphone,” in reference to some of Ye’s hate posts against certain communities.

On Monday, David Schwimmer took to Instagram to praise companies that pulled sponsorships at the London Wireless Festival after Kanye West was revealed as a headliner, noting that West had not properly atone for his years of anti-Semitic comments and that his written apology “does not erase years of abuse.”The “Friends” star clarified his position, pointing out what he described as a lack of accountability from the rapper. “It’s great to see companies have moral clarity,” Schwimmer wrote. Adding that unlike Wireless and Festival Republic, which “decided not to feature an artist who has become one of the world’s most notorious hate-mongering bigots,” while other organizations only seek to profit from one, the 59-year-old expressed anger.

Schwimmer also questioned the timing and intent behind West’s recent public apology, referring to a paid ad published in a major newspaper. “Remember: Yi had apologized before, only to retract that apology and double down on his intense hatred for the Jewish people,” he said, adding that the apology “may have been part of a PR scheme to calm people down ahead of his long-planned return to the stage.””He also pointed to past controversies, including the release of the song “Heil Hitler.”” and the sale of goods containing swastikas, noting that such acts cannot be easily dismissed.

Schwimmer argued that Kanye West “should not be given a platform to perform” until he takes further action to prove that his apology is genuine. He also suggested that the rapper donate some of his profits from the Wireless Festival to Jewish organizations in the UK and/or meet with Jewish leaders and artists to have a constructive dialogue about his statements.
