Photography on Tomb Raider Amazon MGM Studios said in a statement that the film was temporarily halted after star Sophie Turner suffered a minor injury.
Turner plays Lara Croft in the Prime Video series, which hails from Flea bag Creator Phoebe Waller-Bridge. The offer is based on Tomb Raider A video game series that follows the adventures of a famous archaeologist and adventurer.
“Sophie Turner recently suffered a minor injury,” Amazon MGM Studios said. “As a precaution, production has been halted briefly to allow time to recover. We look forward to resuming production as soon as possible.”
The nature of the injury is unclear. Sources said the crew will continue to be paid while production is temporarily halted.
The studio announced the start of production on January 15, sharing a preview image of Turner in the role of Croft.
The cast also includes Sigourney Weaver, Jason Isaacs, Martin Bob Semple, Jack Bannon, John Heffernan, Bill Patterson, Joseph Patterson, Sasha Loos, Juliet Motamed, Celia Imrie, and August Wittgenstein.
Waller-Bridge is the creator, writer, executive producer and co-director along with Chad Hodge, who is co-director and executive producer. They are joined by Jonathan Van Tulleken, who will serve as director and executive producer.
The series is produced by Amazon MGM Studios, Crystal Dynamics, Waller-Bridge and Jenny Robins through Wells Street Films and Dmitri M. Johnson, Michael Lawrence Goldberg, Timothy I.
