Tim Miller is directing the Warner Bros. film. Which also stars Nicolas DuVernay and Stephen Waddington, among others, as production begins this week.

Kallie Cook, who played a struggling tire gunner in Brad Pitt’s racing film F1she got the starring role opposite Keanu Reeves in the Warner Bros. film. Untitled action film directed by Tim Miller.
Nicolas DuVernay, Stephen Waddington, Abraham Popoola, Bobby Holland Hanton and Anastasia Safonov have also joined the casting call for the film, which began production this week.
The water-centric feature which was titled shiver When picked up by Warners last fall, and now referred to simply as the untitled Tim Miller/Keanu Reeves film, it is being shot in the Dominican Republic and uses massive water tanks for sea sequences before moving to the UK.
Ian Shore wrote the screenplay for shiverwhich has been described as having shadows Edge of tomorrowTom Cruise’s sci-fi film is about a soldier trapped in a time loop during an alien invasion ShallowShark survival movie blake lively.
The story sees a smuggler (Reeves) trapped in a time loop after a fatal double-cross while on a job in the Caribbean Sea, resulting in him being surrounded by corpses, hostile mercenaries and hungry sharks alike.
Cook, the heroine of the film, is a scientist. Other actors play characters ranging from shipmates to mercenaries.
The film is produced by Matthew Vaughn, Aaron Ryder, Andrew Sweet, and John Szaczorny. Scott Lumpkin executive produces.
Warners has set a release date of August 13, 2027.
On top F1Cook is best known for her role as “Esther” in the popular BBC comedy series cheaters, In 2024, she guest-starred in an episode of the series Doctor Who Opposite Ncuti Gatwa for BBC/Disney+. She is represented by Curtis Brown and Jackoway Austin.
Duvernay was most recently seen in the third season of the Emmy Award-nominated HBO series White lotus As well as the successful drama Peacock Bel Air. He will next be seen in Universal’s romantic drama Reminder of itbased on Colleen Hoover’s best-selling novel, and an Amazon/MGM film Love hypothesisOpposite Lili Reinhart and Tom Bateman. Duvernay is repped by UTA, Rebel Creative Group and Yorn Levine.
Waddington currently plays the ruthless Earl of Huntington Robin Hood For Lionsgate/MGM TV+. Other credits include an Apple TV+ series Slow horses and The Last of the Mohicans For Twentieth Century Fox. He is repped by 42 Management & Production.
Popoola’s recent credits include Slow horses for Apple TV+, and the sci-fi action movie from Netflix atlas Opposite Jennifer Lopez and John Wick Ballerina For Lionsgate. Popoola is repped by IAG, Artists First, Independent Talent, and Gang, Tire.
Hanton is mainly known for his stunt work, including the final credits Now you see me: Now you don’t see me Lionsgate, Universal Argyle And Disney Thor: Love and Thunder. Upcoming movies include Untitled Jack Ryan project and School fight. He is represented by the project.
Safonov appears in the upcoming Jimmy Marshall film Eternity Opposite William H. Macy and Greg Kinnear and will be seen in the independent film Floating carousel Directed by Delilah Napier. She is an actress
