Lisa Reilly, ahead of her 50th birthday next month, will receive the huge honor of becoming a Member of the Order of the British Empire.
Since ‘Emmerdale’ star Lisa Riley is about to turn 50, she ended up getting a big surprise. According to latest reports, the famous star, for her contribution to drama and charity, has been honored with the green light to become a Member of the Order of the British Empire.

Ahead of her 50th birthday, which falls on July 13, the iconic “Emmerdale” actress has been honored by becoming a Member of the Order of the British Empire. Radio Times reported the news, and shared a list of all the other famous names who have been bestowed the honour.Other stars who received similar awards according to the list include Dame Helen Mirren, best known for the movie “Mobland.” She was awarded the Companions of Honor Medal.
“Noughts & Crosses” writer Mallory Blackman was also honored with the title of Dame. The composer of the song “Death on the Nile” Patrick Doyle also received the Companions of Honour.

In response to the news, Riley couldn’t contain her excitement. She shared in a statement, saying: “Wow, if this isn’t the best gift for my 50th birthday, being named an MBE in the King’s Birthday Honors List, then I don’t know what is.
I have been awarded an MBE, Member of the Order of the British Empire, for services to drama and charity.Furthermore, she added how grateful she was to receive this honor and added, “To say I am humbled is an absolute understatement. To be able to do my job as an actress for 36 years now, and never stop working in our industry, is an honor in itself.”She also spoke about all the people she is grateful to, adding that she is one of the first Emmerdale cast members to receive the honour. She shared, “For me, playing Mandy Dingle is the gift that keeps on giving. Not only that, being a woman in our industry, sisterhood means everything to me. The best feeling today is that I can really feel my mom’s smile and electric energy on my shoulder, and the pride that her little girl ‘did it’!”
