Prime Video has released the official trailer and key art (above and below) for the highly anticipated film Legally blonde The prequel series, which releases all eight episodes on July 1.

Prime has already ordered an early renewal for season 2.

The prequel series follows the title character Elle, played by Lexi Minetree, as a high school student. Reese Witherspoon – who played the character in two parts Legally blonde Films in the early 2000s — among the executive producers.

Minetree was cast in the lead role in February 2025; June Diane Raphael, Tom Everett Scott, Gabriel Policano, Jacob Moskowitz, Chandler Kinney and Zack Luker also star.

Season 1 follows Elle Woods before she fishes out of the water at Harvard. Here’s the tagline: “We met her in 1995 as a fish in the turbulent waters of high school as she faced difficult friendships, forbidden romances, and questionable fashion choices. Through it all, Elle uses her family as a touchstone, forming a stronger bond with her mother, proving that they can get through anything life throws their way as long as they’re together.
