Dolly Parton has canceled her Las Vegas residency again amid her ongoing health struggles.
The 10-time Grammy Award winner took to Instagram on Monday to announce the news, while also sharing an update on her health.
“Well, hello, it’s Dolly, and I’m here to give you an update on some things going on in my life. First, it’s my health, and I have some good news and some bad news. But the good news is that I’m responding well to the medications and treatments, and I’m getting better every day,” she said in the clip. “Now, the bad news is that it will take a while before I reach stage performance level, because some of the medications and treatments make me a little dizzy, as my grandmother used to say.”
“And of course,” she continued, “I can’t get dizzy carrying banjos and guitars and such while wearing five-inch heels. And you know I would wear them. Not to mention all those heavy rhinestone clothes, and the big hair, and my big personality. God, those — that would make anyone’s head swim.”
Parton previously postponed a series of Las Vegas shows in September 2025, due to “health challenges.” Parton announced in June that she was planning a run of limited-run shows at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace. Dolly: She lives in Las Vegas It was scheduled to feature six shows, which was later rescheduled for September this year.
Amid her concerns for the “Jolene” singer’s health, Parton broke her silence about canceling shows and offered an update in October.
“As I mentioned back when my husband Carl was very sick, it was for a long time, and then when he passed, I didn’t take care of myself, so I left a lot of things that I should have taken care of,” Parton said while speaking about the death of her husband Carl Thomas Dean, who died earlier that year in March. “So anyway, when it came down to it, the doctor said, ‘We need to take care of this. We need to take care of that.’ Nothing major, but I had to cancel some things to be closer to home, closer to Vanderbilt, you know, getting some treatments here and there.
Commenting on her post on Monday, Parton thanked her fans for “standing by my side and showing me so much love and support over the past year.”
“I still have some healing to do, but I’m on my way! See you soon,” she concluded the post.
