Competitors It won the hearts of fans and critics alike upon its release in 2024. It became the most-watched general entertainment series on Disney+ in Britain and the top drama launch in the UK for that year. The show is based on Jilly Cooper’s much-loved books, and is set against the backdrop of the stunning Cotswolds countryside and the glamorous, high-stakes world of 1980s British television.
In August, Disney+ confirmed that Hayley Atwell and Rupert Everett would be joining the series.
