‘Dhurandhar 2’ trailer released: Watch these 7 Ranveer Singh films on Netflix before the sequel hits theaters

Ranveer Singh is one of those rare actors who gives his all in every role, be it a street rapper, a historical villain, or a secret spy. With ‘Dhurandhar 2’ arriving on March 19, 2026, and the trailer already generating buzz, there’s no better time to sit down and remind yourself why it’s been impossible to ignore this guy for over a decade. Here are 7 Ranveer Singh movies on Netflix that are totally worth your time before the sequel hits theaters.

2/8

“Durandar” (2025)

A boy from Punjab, held in prison, is pulled out by India’s most secretive intelligence unit and thrown straight into the heart of Karachi’s most dangerous criminal network. There is no safety net, no second chances, just one man hidden in enemy territory where one wrong move means death. Directed by Aditya Dhar of ‘Uri’ fame, the film hits hard from the first scene and doesn’t slow down. Ranveer is a force in it, sharing the screen with Akshaye Khanna, Sanjay Dutt and R.K. Madhavan and Arjun Rampal make every scene feel like a showdown. Watch it before Part 2, otherwise you’ll be completely lost in the best possible way.

3/8

“Padmaavat” (2018)

Directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, the film stars Ranveer Singh as Sultan Alauddin Khilji, one of the most terrifying villains to ever grace the Bollywood screen. With wild eyes, unpredictable energy, and a menace that stays with you long after the film is over, Ranveer reportedly went into semi-isolation to prepare for the role. Deepika Padukone plays the role of Padmavati, and Shahid Kapoor plays the role of her husband, Maharaj Ratan Singh.

4/8

“83” (2021)

Directed by Kabir Khan, this is the story of how India shocked the entire world by winning the 1983 Cricket World Cup under the captaincy of Kapil Dev, at a time when no one gave them a chance. Ranveer plays Kapil Dev, and the preparation has been intense. Kapil Dev himself trained Ranveer in his signature bowling game. The transformation in the way Ranveer behaves throughout the film is truly remarkable. Deepika Padukone plays Kapil Dev’s wife.

5/8

“Baja Baraat Band” (2010)

This is where it all started. Ranveer’s debut film, directed by Maneesh Sharma, is a fresh romantic thriller that revolves around two young men who start a project to plan a wedding together in Delhi and slowly fall in love with each other. Playing the lovable and carefree Bittoo Sharma, Ranveer has shown since his first film that he has a natural screen presence and comedic timing that seems completely instinctive. Anushka Sharma plays his business partner, and the two share great chemistry.

6/8

“Ladies vs. Ricky Bahl” (2011)

Also directed by Maneesh Sharma, this film is a fun comedy where Ranveer plays Ricky Bahl, a smooth-talking charmer who cones women out of their money. Three of his former victims team up and hire a fourth girl, played by Anushka Sharma, to dupe him into the right-back position. Ranveer looks gorgeous throughout and the film is a great showcase of how charismatic he is on screen. It’s a light and entertaining hour that’s easy to enjoy even on a lazy afternoon.

7/8

“Jundai” (2014)

It’s a big, loud and unabashedly entertaining film set on the streets of 1970s Calcutta, where two best friends emerge from the streets to become the city’s most powerful coal smugglers. Things fall apart when a police officer (played by Irrfan Khan) and a woman (played by Priyanka Chopra) come. Ranveer and Arjun Kapoor play the lead roles and their chemistry is really fun to watch. Directed by Ali Abbas Zafar, the film is entirely based on its masala roots, and Ranveer brings explosive energy to every scene.

8/8

“Pfecker” (2016)

Filmed entirely in Paris, this is a modern, carefree love story about two free-spirited people who fall in love on their own messy terms. Ranveer plays Dhruv alongside Vaani Kapoor, and the film gives him space to be funny, romantic and spontaneous at the same time. It’s the more relaxed and lively version of Ranveer on screen and a nice change of pace compared to the intense roles he’s usually known for. It’s a good watch directed by Aditya Chopra, if you want something lighthearted before the high octane intensity of ‘Dhurandhar 2’.
