On Friday, June 12, Imtiaz Ali presented the audience with his much-awaited film, ‘Main Vaapas Aaunga’. Starring Diljit Dosanjh, Naseeruddin Shah, Vidang Raina, and Sharvari, the film received positive reviews from critics and audiences.
However, the strong word of mouth did not translate into box office numbers. The film had a good opening on Friday, with slight growth in earnings over the weekend.
Moreover, the romantic drama recorded a decline on its fourth day, the first Monday. As per the latest trade reports, the net collection of ‘Main Vaapas Aaunga’ in the domestic market currently stands at nearly Rs 7 crore, while the gross earnings have crossed the Rs 8 crore mark. According to Sakneelak, the Diljit Dosanjh and Naseeruddin Shah starrer earned a net collection of Rs 1.25 crore on Monday across 2,139 shows. These numbers show a 50.0% decline from Sunday’s net collection of Rs 2.50 lakh crore.This brings the total India gross collections to Rs 8.10 lakh crore and India’s total net collections to Rs 6.75 lakh crore so far.
