Director David Dhawan addressed the perception of working with Salman Khan, calling him an “excellent man” and highlighting their strong professional equation. In a recent conversation, Dhawan also made comparisons with Govinda.
“He never questioned me”
Responding to claims that Salman could be difficult to work with, David told Bollywood Hungama: “Everyone goes through this. Earlier too, people used to say a lot about Salman… and even now they do. But he is an excellent guy. I have worked with him to the fullest… I have had the best journey with him.”Speaking about their equation, he added: “He and I, we are on fire together. We love working.”Recalling the recent interaction, David said: “I was filming and he came to meet me and said: ‘Yar, let’s do something now.’

He just said: ‘Let’s make this film’.”He added: “I’ve done films with him where he was the hero, but there might be another better role – and he never questioned that.”
“If Salman works with you, he will do anything.”
“My son once told me: If Salman works with you, he will do anything for you,” David said, recounting an anecdote. This is correct. Even after finishing the movie, he’ll say, “Yar, I didn’t get much out of this…”

Salman vs Govinda
David said in his comparisons: “The actors are different. Salman has a personality, which you cannot match. Addressing the criticism, David said: “People say that, but he always finishes his work. What if he comes in late?”He added: “When I needed him early, he came early. Otherwise, we could have made 17 films together?”
