Darryl Hall is on the mend, with the legendary Hall & Oates singer revealing that he recently underwent a kidney transplant but is already seeing an improvement in his health.
“Hello everyone! Hello everyone,” Hall wrote in posts shared across his social media accounts on Tuesday. “I think you should know that I recently received a kidney transplant from a very kind and generous living donor.” “That happened a few weeks ago, and I’m already starting to feel better. It was a complete success according to my doctors!”
Hall also wrote that he “should be back to normal in a few months,” saying there will be more shows from his Daryl’s House series on the way soon as well. The singer did not share any other details regarding his health, such as why he needed a new kidney or the duration of his illness. THR Contact a representative for more information.
In addition to his health, one of the most notable developments in Hall’s life in the past several years has been his legal feud with John Oates after his former bandmate looked to sell his half of their joint venture, calling the move a “betrayal of the ultimate partnership.”
“No amount of money can compensate me for being forced into a partnership with an entity I did not agree to partner with, and whose business model does not align with my views,” Hall wrote in a statement at the time.
That lawsuit quietly ended in arbitration last August, though there are no details on how the issue would actually be resolved, or what the terms of the voluntary separation would be.
