Attention all Marvel fans! Recent images from Daredevil: Born Again Season 3 tease the potential return of the original Defenders. Krysten Ritter, Mike Colter and Finn Jones have been spotted together, signaling an epic reunion alongside Charlie Cox’s Daredevil.
It looks like a big Marvel reunion is starting to take shape on the set of Daredevil: Born Again season 3, even as season 2 continues to stream on Disney+. New photos from New York City show Krysten Ritter, Mike Colter, and Finn Jones together, suggesting the return of Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, and Iron Fist alongside Matt Murdock, who plays Charlie Cox.
If the reunion is shown on screen, it will be the first time the four Defenders have shared the screen again since 2017’s The Defenders.

Entertainment Weekly reported that the third season is being filmed in New York City and that Colter and Jones have been spotted on set with Ritter. The post also said that studio representatives have been contacted for comment. Ritter’s return as Jessica Jones has already been announced ahead of subsequent episodes of Season 2, and the latest photos add new weight to speculation that the full street-level team from the Netflix era will be back together.Before the current streaming era, these characters headlined spin-off series set in New York including “Daredevil,” “Jessica Jones,” “Luke Cage” and “Iron Fist.” They later reunited in the movie “The Defenders.” That chapter ended years ago, but Daredevil: Born Again has firmly reopened the door for those past characters.

Coulter had already hinted that a comeback was approaching. Speaking on the March 3 episode of Inside of You, he said: “The time is now.”
“I’ve had discussions with Marvel, and I think it’s very likely that I’ll come back at some point, but I don’t know when. But I think I will,” he added.Jones also explained that he wanted another chance to play Danny Rand. At an anime convention in March 2025, he said, “I’m very aware of the criticisms of the character and my role in it.” He added: “My response to that is: Give me a chance, man.” I’m here and I’m ready. I want to prove people wrong. So I would love to see that happen.”There are still five episodes left in Season 2 of Daredevil: Born Again. This series will be followed by The Punisher: One Last Kill starring Jon Bernthal as Frank Castle. A premiere date for season 3 has not been announced.
