Mandisa talks about Danny Glover’s health
Mandisa noticed the initial shift after Glover received the Oscars’ Jean Hersholt Humanitarian Award in 2022. “My father’s history is that he remembers everything going back to 1970, what corner he was standing on, who he talked to, what they talked about, what color they were wearing, everything,” Mandisa told the outlet, before adding that parts of the stories would be missing when he talked about his parents.
“He would tell you a lot about his parents — and I heard those stories over and over — and there would be pieces missing. There would be parts of the story missing. I said, ‘I wonder what’s going on,'” she explained of the initial phase. However, these days he remembers his mother who unfortunately died in a car accident in the 1980s. “Guess what my mother wanted to be? An actress,” he told the outlet. Over the decades, Danny Glover has left an indelible mark on Hollywood with films like Places in the Heart, The Color Purple, Silverado, and many more.
